1240 Evaluation of the Agency Administrator

The Board of Control believes it is essential that it evaluate the Agency Administrator's performance periodically in order to assist both the Board and the Agency Administrator in the proper discharge of their responsibilities and to enable the Board to provide the Agency with the best possible leadership.

The Board shall annually, no later than April 15th, evaluate the performance of the Agency Administrator. The Board shall use the evaluation form that is approved as a part of this policy (Policy 1240 - Exhibit 1). A single evaluation form shall be completed as a composite of the individual Board members' opinions.

As an outcome of the evaluation of the Agency Administrator's performance, the Board should be prepared to judge the advisability of retention of the Agency Administrator and be prepared better to determine the Agency Administrator's salary and to establish specific objectives which will advance the Agency's goals.
