3419 Health Insurance
CESA 5 offers eligible employees a health insurance plan which is determined by the Board of Control. Eligibility for this type of plan is determined by the plan and provisions of the current health insurance carrier, applicable state and federal laws, and definitions as determined by the Agency.
The Board of Control approves the amount the Agency will contribute toward the monthly insurance premium for each plan included in the plan.
Employees must sign up for coverage upon their initial employment with the Agency or during the open enrollment periods, with timelines determined by the Agency or health insurance carrier.
In the event that an employee needs to access the disability plan, CESA 5 may continue to pay the portion of health insurance that it paid while the employee was able to work for a time period no greater than the first six months of disability.
