7217 Weapons

No person shall possess, use, store, or make a weapon in any setting that is under the control and supervision of the Agency for the purpose of Agency activities approved and authorized by the Agency including, but not limited to, property leased, owned, or contracted for by the Agency, an Agency-sponsored event, or in an Agency vehicle.

“Weapon” is defined as any object which, in the manner it is used, is intended to inflict bodily harm or property damage. Weapons include, but are not limited to, firearms, knives (except those having a blade less than three (3) inches or those used for preparation and consumption of food) and electric weapons (tasers).

Anyone who has reason to believe that a person has or will violate this policy shall immediately report the violation to the Agency Administrator or any other member of the CESA 5 Management Team.

Persons who violate this policy shall be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge. Persons who violate this policy shall also be subject to referral to law enforcement.
