To ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of the Agency’s fleet vehicles, a comprehensive internal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for fleet vehicle management shall be developed and maintained by the Agency.
The SOP must address, at a minimum, the following elements: Vehicle acquisition and replacement; driver eligibility; assignment of vehicles; maintenance of vehicles; fuel management; insurance and liability; and recordkeeping.
The SOP shall adhere to applicable state and federal regulations.
