3400.01 Salary Placement Guides for Initial Employees

The Agency will maintain salary placement guides for initial employees in different employee groups. These guides will be used by the Agency, in conjunction with consideration of the employee’s position and other factors, including but not limited to, educational attainment, training, experience, funding availability, job requirements, and salaries of employees in comparable positions within CESA 5.

Salary placement guides are not contractual steps and lanes nor do employees move “through” the guide to determine salary. It is a tool to determine a new employee’s salary/wage based upon multiple variables.
