Up to five (5) total days of emergency leave may be requested each fiscal year for the following circumstances:
The death or serious illness or serious injury to an immediate family member;
To attend a funeral;
For the non-emergency care of an immediate family member;
Unforeseen serious circumstances
Extenuating circumstances may dictate the need for additional days. Requests for emergency leave must be submitted to the Agency Administrator or designee. Emergency leave will be deducted from accumulated sick leave.
