3438 Vacation
Annual vacation leave per year for twelve-month employees is determined by the length of employment:
Year 1 and 2 10 days
Year 3 through 10 15 days
Year 11 and beyond 20 days
To be eligible for vacation, an employee must work at least 235 days per year. Vacation earned for employees working more than 235 days, but less than 250 days, will be prorated. The project director must approve vacation days in advance.
The full amount of vacation days are credited to employees at the beginning of each work year. However, employees who use vacation days that have not been earned (i.e., an employee leaves the Agency mid-year) must reimburse the Agency for those days.
Employees may carry over a maximum of fifteen vacation days to the next fiscal year.
Deviation from any of these procedures must be approved by the Agency Administrator.
Personnel who leave CESA 5 and then return will be given vacation based on total years of employment with the Agency.
